What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer / Planner position at Arrow Tru-Line?
The Import Buyer/ Planner is responsible for and executes the sourcing and inventory planning process for Arrow Tru-Line?s imported products and components. The Buyer/Planner monitors raw material and any relevant commodity markets in sourced countries and develops appropriate strategies. Manages and coordinates appropriate flow of goods between product inventory, demand, and procurement of finished components from approved import sources.
Responsibilities:
- Own Cost, Delivery, Lead-Time, Inventory, Payment Terms and Service productivity for assigned commodities
- Own Data Integrity in ERP system (NDS ? Oracle based)
- Build Industry and commodity subject matter expertise and be the expert responsible for feedstock monitoring and tracking
- Analyzes demand, supply, and inventory levels to prepare Purchase orders to obtain products.
- Coordinate supply chain with import sources/factories, sourcing team and freight carriers or forwarders
- Participates in Long Term Agreement negotiations with suppliers
- Initiates and leads projects related to purchasing, inventory control, material flow, etc.
- Exhibits high moral character and ethical behavior
- Maintain courteous, professional demeanor and the ability to work well under pressure
- Other duties as required
