Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager, Apparel
Department: Supply Chain

Reports To: Director of Strategic Sourcing
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned categories/suppliers to optimize quality, delivery, cost, and risk, while maintaining reliable supply of assigned commodities.
Duties:
Proven ability to lead teams and identify opportunities for improvement
Highly motivated, innovative, and able to work independently and on cross functional teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to successfully navigate in a complex business environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Must possess strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem solving, and sound business judgment skills.
Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
10 years of supply chain experience within a similar industry preferred.
Specific knowledge of textile and/or apparel manufacturing and supply chain
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods.
Working Conditions:
Heated and air-conditioned office, and/or home office.
Up to 50% travel.

Duties:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, product, operations, purchasing, and finance to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals and priorities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and consistency of supply.
- Continuously monitor market trends, negotiate terms and pricing agreements, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement best practices to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to mitigate potential disruptions such as geopolitical, economic, or environmental factors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards. Drive sustainability initiatives, such as responsible sourcing and environmentally friendly practices.
- Oversee the negotiation and management of supplier contracts, including terms and conditions, service level agreements, and performance metrics.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed sourcing decisions. Implement analytics tools and KPIs to track and measure sourcing performance.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the sourcing function. Implement best practices and drive innovation.
- Negotiate fabric and garment minimums to meet business requirements
- Report seasonal wrap-up information to leaders in Sourcing, PLM, Purchasing, and Planning
