Position Summary

The Program Specialist will be responsible for all programmable equipment in Artcobell Manufacturing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be capable of programming and operating.
  • Keep track of operators/programmers and back-ups.
  • Ensure all equipment has an adequate number.
  • If there is an opening, work with Value Stream Manager to fill and train.
  • Maintain a schedule to ensure that the Program Specialist, Operators and Back-ups for each piece of equipment stay capable.
  • Work with Value Stream Managers if situation arrives.
  • By Part Number and Description what each piece of equipment can run.
  • If the machine produces multiples per cycle note that
  • Also note any pertinent information (e.g., feeds & speeds)
  • Looks for ways to improve Programmable Equipment: Safety, Quality or Productivity.
  • Keep a Current Action List that is in process with agreement with Management.
  • Must be able to operate all robots, re-weld and identify good quality welds to ensure quality of product.
  • Programming abilities required (i.e., jogging a robot, changing a weld tip, weld nozzle, diffuser, changing weld wire, stepping through a program or subroutine, and other technical troubleshooting.
  • Encompass the ability to edit weld programs on all ABB Model 150 and 350 robots.
  • Demonstrate the capability to learn the complete programming of all robots.
  • Monitor robot production and ensure the welds are meeting quality requirements and correct deficiencies as needed.
  • Responsible for issuing identification stamps and crucial production, press inspection, and forklift paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain all required Visual Management Tools.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Must show the capability to learn the complete programming of all robots.
  • Encompass minimal math skills.
  • Possess problem solving capabilities.
  • Preferred welding experience
  • Meet production rate following standard work.
  • Successfully operate with limited supervision.
  • Able to prioritize work off a printed schedule.
  • Communicate effectively, as well as read and write in English.

Physical Demands and Abilities:

  • While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear, bend, use hands and/or fingers to handle, touch objects, assemble parts, and utilize tools or controls.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, carrying and moving parts, materials, and product.
  • Ability to perform tasks at a predetermined rate/output.
  • Must have hand and foot coordination to control and adjust equipment or tools.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a high level of motivation.
  • Must adhere to all quality and safety standards.
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to sustain a steady work pace and follow a schedule.
  • Ability to withstand extreme heat during summer season, at times reaching over 100 degrees.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
