About this role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and shape public perception about a completely new product category: cultivated meat. This category is poised to revolutionize the way we consume and think about our food, and you will be in the driver seat shaping the narrative. Reporting directly to the CEO and as our first marketing and communications hire, you will lead the charge on building and executing a world-class brand communications strategy. Your efforts will be critical in elevating consumer awareness and engagement with our products, educating the market on this new category, and positioning Artemys as an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Craft our high-level consumer brand communications strategy for our game-changing products
- Develop and execute our rolling media and content plan across owned & earned channels
- Build and leverage network of media relationships to promote the Artemys brand and narrative
- Own key content campaigns to increase customer affection & favorability
- Hands on in creative writing and content creation, as well as managing external agencies
- Drive Artemys’ presence in key external events, such as industry conferences, to establish Artemys and key execs as thought leaders
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, such as Product & HR, to coordinate external comms
- Develop KPIs to track and monitor success against our goals
Minimum Qualifications
- A passion for our mission
- 8 years of in consumer brand communications experience, either in-house, agency, or a combination of both
- Experience working for innovative consumer-facing technology brand(s)
- Ability to create on-brand, inspirational content
- World-class communications and presentation skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional leaders
- Exceptional work ethic and a demonstrated ownership & accountability
- Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude that embraces the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment
Nice-to-have (but not required)
- Background in working for food and beverage brands
- Experience in business-to-business (B2B) or SMB brand communications
- Writing portfolio and/or writing samples
Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
