Business Development Manager

Industry experience, including ready mix concrete sales, aggregate sales, asphalt sales, or construction sales, is required. Experience of at least 3 years is preferred. Must be computer literate. We offer a competitive salary, which is open to negotiation.

Job responsibility details:

  • Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Prepare quotes for customers based on everyday sales and/or specific project-based mix designs
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Perform project research for concrete specifications and supply to QC for approval
  • Maintain knowledge of the performance of each contractor in sales area
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Troubleshoot and expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Work with each internal department to maintain a solid customer relationship from initial quote, to dispatching orders, to delivery of product, up to collection on customer accounts, when necessary
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Owner
  • Comfortable managing Jobsite conditions from safely, managing quality, and professionally

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative. Preference given to sales experience in the construction industry
  • Prefer knowledge of Office 365, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

Requirements

  • Work well in a team setting and maintain ethical work habits.
  • Maintain composure under stressful situations.
  • Team-player
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Software, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Read and understand plans and specifications for commercial project bids.
  • Geographical knowledge of the specified delivery area is desired.
  • Driver’s License is required
  • ACI Field 1 Certified (preferred)
  • Clean driving record

Pay: $60,000-90,000 DOE
