Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Compensation and Pay Plan Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting the Operations Team across all Platforms to ensure accurate and timely processing of various pay plan functions. This role will be a part of the compensation and pay plan Center of Excellence that provides support to all team members. This includes working with dealership personnel to process pay plans, maintain modeling tools, and perform analysis of key compensation information. Excellent support and training to all Management in our dealerships on company policy and procedures to ensure all data and processing is compliant with key controls.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Processes all pay plan requests that are needed in a timely manner
- Considered the owner of the pay plan templates with the compliance knowledge of know which state/location/role needs what type of approved and appropriate verbiage.
- Day-to-day management of compensation tasks received through tickets or email
- Maintain accurate set ups and rates for the compensation plans
- Manage pay plan exception requests and escalate as required
- Builds and maintains modeling tools and pay plan templates for manager use
- Works closely with HR, Legal, and Compensation to standardize all pay elements and language for the templates
- Assists with the management of HR projects for system implementations, migrations and upgrades
- Assists with recurring and adhoc reports to meet the requirement of corporate, region or retail management and staff
- Assists system users in the preparation of reports, lists, and updates to Payroll/HRIS data
- Special Projects and tasks as they arise
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned by you supervisor
- Ad-hoc Reporting - generate reports from various compensation data as needed, sources include but not limited to HRIS reports, Business Intelligence, and excel created reports
- Validate month end reports using payroll data
- Works in tandem with HR Business Partners on minimum wage updates
- Monitors job titles to ensure consistency
- Works with HRIS and Payroll staff to ensure the payroll system meets compensation needs and is updated timely
- Subject matter expert on compensation plans for Acquisitions and template
- Knowledgeable about FLSA and other state and local regulations in regards to pay practices and exemption statuses
- Model and execute commission plan along with tending historical data to analyze if the variable pay plan is working

Required Skills/Abilities
- High attention to detail, process and organization
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills (Macros experience preferred)
- Very high sense of analytical and problem solving ability is REQUIRED
- Ability to work at a fast pace with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to consolidate and work with large volumes of employee compensation data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Maintains knowledge and legal compliance regarding compensation practices
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Preferably in business, finance, accounting or human resources.
- 1-2 year(s) of analyst experience (or similar background)
- Accounting and compensation experience
- Ad-hoc reporting experience a plus
- Variable Experience a plus
- Dealership/automotive experience a plus
- CCP (or in progress / related experience)
- Experience with CompAnalyst (or other base pay admin systems), Ceridian, IBM Cognos, Business Intelligence, iCims, and Ultimate Software a plus
