Job Description
- Responsible that recipes and production sheets are followed.
- Accountable for food and refrigerator temps being taken and recorded per departmental and regulatory agency policies and procedures.
- Accountable for the insurance that kitchen sanitation standards are maintained per departmental and regulatory agency policies and procedures at all times.
- Assigns staff to positions based on department needs. Covers call-outs and vacancies for seamless operation of the department. Communicates changes to other staff.
- Demonstrates ability to make appropriate decisions that ensure smooth operation of the department.
- Delegates responsibilities, monitors performance, and holds employees accountable for maintaining departmental and regulatory agency standards (temps., portions, accuracy, presentation, sanitation, service, etc.) in the kitchen and in dining rooms at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a supervisor within the hospitality industry required. Experience in the healthcare setting proferred.
- Cooking experience preferred.
