  • Schedule: Full Time days, this position resides within the Hospitals Linen Department and the two main functions are distributing Linen Exchange carts and refilling the depleted linen exchange carts along with picking up soiled linen throughout the hospital

Responsibilities

Collect, wash and/or distribute clean linens and apparel for assigned clinical areas.

  • Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas. Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.
  • Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed. Identify items for repair or replacement and notify management.
  • Wash, dry or fold laundered linens and apparel, identifying items for repair or replacement and notifies management.
  • Operate all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
