  • Department: Total Quality Management
  • Schedule: Full Time | M-F 8a-5p
  • Hospital: Fox Valley hospitals (Calumet, St. Elizabeth and Mercy Hospital) 
  • Location: Appleton, WI
  • @5 years (relatively recent) experience in healthcare setting (will consider LTC, ambulatory, Quality, Insurance, etc) or equivalent.
  • Good organizational skills,  will need to be able to shift work from one topic to another multiple times a day 
  • Ability to work with a team of individuals  AND work independently. 
  • Self-directed but also aware of limitations and willing to reach out with questions 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Comfortable with leading projects/teams and working with a wide variety of individuals across the organization (up to and including executive team) 
  • Available from 0700 to 1800  (rare meetings are early or late in day).  In general work day is from 8am to 4:30pm 
  • Able to travel to all of the Fox Valley hospitals (Calumet, St. Elizabeth and Mercy Hospital) 
  • Flexible approach to work - our priorities can (and do) change quickly during a day and will need to be able to accommodate that reality.  
  • Good Communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • Motivated to learn and lead

Responsibilities

Organize and coordinate quality, risk and patient safety program activities and workflow.

  • Coordinate quality, risk and/or patient safety aspects of The Joint Commission continuous readiness
  • program.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
  • Support activities related to quality and risk reduction initiatives and compliance with patient safety standards.
  • Analyze and report on data collected from a variety of sources. Develop detailed quality financial reports for specific groups and service lines.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the state of Wisconsin or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in the field of the primary work required.

Additional Preferences

  • Experience in Joint Commission or DHS surveys 
  • Experience in root cause analysis or similar work 
  • RN meeting the above ‘must have’ criteria would be ideal.  
  • Experience and comfort with Google:  docs, email, sheets, slides, etc
