Responsibilities

The Resource Group has a robust internship program with several positions available for hire. In order to provide the best candidate experience please apply to only ONE position. Should you be interested in multiple available positions you will be given the opportunity to share that during the interview process


This is a partially onsite internship. For this role you must be located within driving distance of a facility in this market for the duration of the internship. Transportation to and from the facility is the responsibility of the intern.

This role falls within The Resource Group's Strategic Sourcing Solution. The Strategic Sourcing Solution is a discipline-based model that uses collaboration to deliver savings and end-user satisfaction. Instead of contracting for resources and supplies end-users may or may not want to use, communities within The Resource Group's Strategic Sourcing Solution take a different approach and focus contracting for the supplies and services that meet the criteria determined by caregivers.


The Resource Group’s Summer Internship Program is an engaging and fulfilling experience designed to allow interns to obtain a wide range of healthcare supply chain knowledge. Throughout the 12-week experience, interns will work on unique personal projects, collaborate with other interns to solve organizational challenges, and learn new business & professional skills.

 

As an Analyst Intern, you will learn how to provide robust analytics to support decision making processes at the local and national level. You will support project work that will drive value, improve processes and enhance collaboration within the organization. Additionally you may provide ad-hoc support for communities outside of the Analyst Team.

Responsibilities 

 

  • Support stakeholders with financial analysis, project management, reporting, and measuring of data/statistics
  • Develop support tools using advanced G Suite, Microsoft Excel and Tableau skills for implementation support and tracking and reporting of performance metrics for facility supply expense improvement initiatives
  • Interpret data concerning financial trends and economic and business forecasts as they relate to the performance metrics and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Consult and advise stakeholders regarding contract impact
  • Assist in development of internal controls and validation of supply chain rebates
  • Assist in development, analysis and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), quotes, bids and reverse auction contracting strategies

Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience or Associate's degree required.
  • Enrolled in Bachelor's degree program.

Additional Preferences

-College Junior year and above preferred
