Title: Lead, Pharmacy Technician
Location: ASV Clay County Hospital
Department: Inpatient Pharmacy
Shift: Full-Time, 40hrs Mon-Fri
What You Will Do
Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in pharmacy services. Serves as a subject matter expert and provides guidance across pharmacies and to clinical leadership.
- Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
- Serve as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties as associates they lead.
- Assign, monitor and review progress of work. Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or
procedures. May resolve scheduling issues. - Oversee daily activities of the pharmacy technicians under the direction of the pharmacists and
management. - Assist with specialty projects and tasks as assigned by Pharmacy management.
- Participate in problem solving within the department.
- Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- One or more of the following required:
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or
job transfer date.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree
required.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience required.
