  • Department: Stepdown Intermediate
  • Schedule: PRN/Day - Minimum requirement of 48 hours in a 6 week schedule. Holidays and weekends not required but you are able to work them if it fits in your schedule.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
  • Observe patient status and responses.
  • Document and report observations to preceptor or other
    appropriate staff.
  • Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations. 
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a Nursing program required.

Additional Preferences

BLS required
Must have successfully passed Med/Surg clinical and class along with pharmacology.
