Position Summary
In alignment with elevating and advancing the nursing function to deliver on the Ascension Strategic Plan, this role is accountable for implementing nurse practice initiatives focusing on professional development, wellbeing and the joy of nursing across the continuum.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Leads the CPD Clinical Education, Nurse Leader Development and University Partnership strategies in support of the Core Nursing Strategy and Ascension’s Strategic Plan.
- Collaborates across the organization to assess and create opportunities that are enriching and supportive of nursing transformation across the organization.
- Provides oversight and direction to the Nursing Affinity Group.
- Develops an innovative approach to creating curriculum and standard practices that drive nurse leader/ nursing support learning and development.
- Develops a transition to practice model that supports internal growth and development, ensuring that there is a pipeline of talent identified.
- Cultivates talent through programs such as career coaching, CPD, CME, and CEU offerings.
- Fosters a culture that supports Ascension’s ABIDE framework, workforce flexibility, creativity and thought leadership.
What You Will Need
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 7 years of experience required.
- 10 years of experience preferred.
- 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
