Responsibilities

Vice President of Pharmacy leads and directs the provision of pharmaceutical care services and provides administrative leadership organization-wide for pharmacy and medication management services across the continuum of care. Responsible for maintaining compliance with regulations of state, federal and other licensing and regulatory agencies at all hospitals, outpatient pharmacies and other locations of medication management.

• Lead enterprise-wide implementation of all pharmacy programs 
• Inpatient and Outpatient
• 340B Program
• Retail
• Home Medical Pharmacy 
• Home Infusion 
• Oversee the purchase and operation of technologies used to dispense medications, in addition to optimization of clinical information systems to effectively manage medication use across the continuum of care.

• Provide administrative direction, overall management, and coordination for all pharmacy services across the system to assure consistency and continuity between programs.
• Manage costs associated with implementation of new programs or services.
• Monitor and track cost containment/cost avoidance programs and take action to achieve goals.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 7 years of experience required.
• 10 years of experience preferred in Health Systems Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy. 
• 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred leading a Pharmacy market.
• Must have experience with Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy.
• Must have experience with 340 B Program. 
• Experience managing the Financial Impact/Business of Pharmacy.
