Position Overview:
Responsible for driving sales by proactively and reactively marketing FuturePlan by Ascensus as the premier provider of TPA retirement services. The primary function is to work closely with the sales team and external referral sources to increase sales and seek new markets for URPC. Tasks include providing world class sales support to the sales team and financial advisors, building relationships with the sales team and external referral sources, and providing product information to potential clients. The role also initiates sales calls and related follow-up communication, as well as identify new corporate or regional opportunities to establish new clients and enter new markets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Coordination with the National Sales Director and key sales team members to achieve individual and team sales goals
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) at key platform partner firms
- Make outbound telephone calls to Financial Advisors and Platform Wholesaler partners to promote services
- Increase market penetration by setting appointments, delivering product updates, and proactively cultivating new prospects
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries, literature requests and service issues
- Excellent listening skills to better assess a sales representative's need and determine the type of sales support necessary to accomplish the objective
- Serve as a resource for the sales team to explain product features and benefits
- Market 401K in-a-box to Financial Advisors
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to work independently as well as regularly work with groups of clients
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task
- Highly motivated
Education
- BS or BA in finance, business or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in investment management and knowledge of relevant financial concepts and investment strategies
- Appropriate certifications (commonly the Series 63 Securities License in combination with
- Series 6 or Series 7 licenses)
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel required as needed.
