Our CNA's are an integral part of our care team here at Luther Ridge. CNA's have the opportunity to get to know our residents on a deep level by providing long term assistance with activities of daily living in our state of the art Assisted Living Center located in beautiful Middletown, CT.
CNA's will provide direct care to resident and ensure that the needs of each resident are met in accordance with all laws regulations and standards of the Luther Ridge, a subsidiary of Ascentria Care Alliance. Available shifts are 3-11 with a rotating schedule:
Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Every Other Holiday is required.

Summary:
Provide direct care to resident and ensure that the needs of each resident are met in accordance with all laws regulations and standards of the Luther Ridge, a subsidiary of Ascentria Care Alliance. Available shifts are 3-11 with a rotating schedule:
Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Every Other Holiday is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide direct resident care utilizing established standard procedures. Assist residents with medication checks and reminders. Report any medication issues to the nurse.
- Responsible for reporting any unusual resident signs and symptoms to nurse in charge.
- Complete and document assigned temps and weights of residents.
- Accurately document on resident flow sheet each shift.
- Make safety rounds at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Serve meal trays/monitor dining areas during mealtimes.
- Be aware of and promote Resident’s Rights and Quality of Life issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Complete extra assignments to keep the facility clean and orderly.
- Attend appropriate meetings, in-service programs and yearly mandatory educational programs.
- Fulfill in-service requirement to maintain certification as a nursing assistant.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant with current State certification required.
- Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
- Ability to bathe and dress residents.
