What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Administrator position at Asher College?

We are looking for someone thathas experience delivering world-class customer servicehelping people achieve their goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

A good candidate for this position should have strong Microsoft Office and Excel Skills & must feel comfortable navigating our student portal. The portal is used to track student performance and existing reports are created to target students who require intervention and coaching to get back on track.

This valuable member of our team will assist the staff in the retention process by contacting and coaching prospects who are falling short of their attendance or testing dates. They also occasionally will help co-create a plan of action by uncovering and addressing obstacles with the student and Asher College staff to help students successfully complete their program.

Also participate and facilitate professional development courses that teach goal-setting, positive self-talk and positive solution-oriented mindsets. This contact with the student builds relationships that allow them to assist in Individually coaching students to achieve their educational and career goals

ollects information from multiple departments and reports the information to internal staff and outside agencies who work with our students. (Example, Department of Voc Rehab Counselors)

They also assist multiple departments with administrative and compliance-related items, planning and leading student events, and inspire others with an infectiously positive attitude.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability preferred.

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to work with folders, basic Adobe, saving documents, reporting, awareness of online meetings via Zoom/Teams. Typing at 30-35 WPM.

Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions.

Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

Quality Management: Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; understand organization’s strengths and weaknesses; identify external threats and opportunities; adapt the strategy to changing conditions.

Planning/Organization: Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; plan for additional resources; establish goals and objectives; organize and schedule other people and their tasks; develop realistic action plans.

Language Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret policies and procedures, state & federal compliance requirements, legal documents and to respond to inquiries or complaints from students, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community. SSA has the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or advisory boards.

Leadership: Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well; effectively influences actions and opinions of others; accepts feedback from others; gives appropriate recognition to others.
