CNC Manufacturing Analyst
What Will You Do?
The CNC Manufacturing Analyst will review and revise machining processes to determine the best available method to fabricate parts, develop the most efficient programs and set-up for CNC equipment.
- Write CNC programs and create setup sheets as required for CNC equipment in all Ashley Furniture manufacturing facilities.
- Review machining processes to determine the best available method to fabricate parts with the most optimum program, set-up, and machine efficiency.
- Decide which parts should run on what machines for best factory flow, throughput, quality and cost. Provide dynamically nested programs as needed.
- Frequently interact with CNC department employees and management, assisting with documentation and implementation of best practices, troubleshooting of program problems and/or program improvement to reduce downtime, increase productivity and lower costs.
- Study raw materials (buns, board, fiber, etc.) to determine the most efficient yield properties based on current product mix forecast; recommend sizes to manufacturing management and purchasing department.
What Do You Need?
- Associate’s degree in manufacturing or engineering related field or equivalent work experience, Required
- 1-4 years of experience working in an engineering or manufacturing related field, Required
- Knowledge of CNC programming language, Preferred
- Experience working on a CNC controlled machine, Preferred
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills (including oral and written communication)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and internet
- Knowledge of Cam software, G-code, Fanuc controllers, part nesting, bills of material, operation of CNC equipment, use of Solid Modeling software and MRP, Preferred
