Residential Care Home Manager

Qualifications:

• Submit completed application and have favorable work references. Experience working with IDD population and in management required. Must meet the qualifications of a Developmental Support Professional.
• Must have a high school diploma. Post high school coursework in Human Services field or other advanced education preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certified preferred but will train if not. Able to pass a physical and drug test and a criminal background check. Must have a valid drivers license which will allow them to be accepted as a driver of company vehicles by the company's insurance company.
• Must have positive interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in management 

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, retain and evaluate DSP staff. Orient and train new employees. Manage a schedule for Residential homes.
• Monitor timecards and absenteeism/tardies, report problems to the Director and take action as needed with employees.
• Secure fill-in employees for coverage due to call offs, day off, etc.
• Act as a liaison between staff and interdisciplinary teams .
• Assist families and Residents with issues as they aris, and be available to staff, families and Residents and coordinate care.
• Manage paperwork and health records of the residential serting.
• Oversee day to day operations and budgets of each of the homes.
• Monitor active treatment implementation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of programs. Assist and train staff in program delivery as needed.
• Disperse and account client funds.
• Serve as a liaison with vocational and habiltation service staff for issues affecting their home and the Residents.
• Arrange for transportation for clients to and from appointments.
• Report home maintenance problems to the Director.
• Maintenance/weekly restocking of household supplies (cleaning, supplies etc.).
• Maintain daily census and submit to the business office.
• Schedule and monitor for completion of fire and disaster drills.
• Employee evaluations.
• Familiarity with state and federal guidelines related to care of IDD in a residential care setting.

Physical Demands:

This person should be able to lift up to 70 lbs., bend, stretch, pull, push and defend self appropriately.
