What are the responsibilities and job description for the Starts Coordinator position at Ashton Woods?
Ashton Woods is seeking an experienced Starts Coordinator to join our growing Austin division. The Starts Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all starts occur within the determined cycle time, are accurate and that all necessary documents are properly completed in order to provide complete packages to the field and will maintain positive relationships with multiple municipalities. This person will report to the Centralized Scheduling Manager and work out of our office located near the Arboretum.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and submit permit packages
- Coordinate with third parties in the preparation and submittal of permit applications to the appropriate governmental agencies.
- Monitor and report permit status throughout the week.
- Coordinate with third parties the preparation and submittal of responses to municipality comments or rejections.
- Prepare and submit plan/permit revisions on an as-needed basis.
- Coordinate the payment of all permit and municipality fees.
- Assist in the coordination and submittal of other permit related items such as model permits, building permits, site improvement plans/applications, etc.
- Contact County officials on an as-needed basis to assist in the obtainment of needed permits.
- Prepare and distribute Weekly Starts Calendar
- Coordinate and prepare lot specific “ARC” (Architectural Review Committee) applications and supporting documents for architectural review and approval.
- Create start packages and distribute to field
- Maintain permits and schedule of alarm systems
- Provide support to Division President and VP of Operations as needed
- Coordinate all Lot closings through the title company
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree required, college degree preferred
- 2 - 5 years of experience as a starts coordinator or similar position required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially excel
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and proactively manage process with many moving parts
