Acquisition SME/Contracting Officer with DoD Secret clearance

ASI is seeking experienced former Contracting Officers to join our team as advisors for our Federal Customers large IT Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in federal contracting and acquisitions to support a large-scale IT initiative. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will work collaboratively with our customer and team to manage and streamline key acquisition processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· IDIQ Management: Assist in the award and management of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations and contract terms.
· Task Order Preparation: Develop and prepare comprehensive task order packages, including requirements gathering, solicitation preparation, and proposal evaluation.
· Contractor Transition: Oversee the transition of legacy contractors out of the program and new contractors in, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
· Source Selection: Lead and participate in source selection activities, providing strategic guidance and ensuring fair and transparent evaluation processes.
· Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with the MITRE team, Department of State stakeholders, and other partners to align acquisition strategies with program goals.
· Hands-On Involvement: Engage in hands-on tasks to support the acquisition process, demonstrating a willingness to delve into the details to achieve successful outcomes.
Our SME will:
- Advise on key contracting strategies and issues with the customer
- Research contracting topics and provide recommendations to the customer
- Review contract packages and make edits/revisions
- Develop repeatable solution sets and acquisition artifacts that support innovative and forward-leaning acquisition solutions. This includes requirements documents, statements of work, solicitations, source selection plans, risk management plans, test strategies, and other acquisition/organizational planning documents.
- Support the analysis, evaluation, development, and execution of traditional and innovative acquisition strategies.
- Collaborate with the Government to shape outcomes that maximize quality, value, and partnerships with key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/BA and 10 years related experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing section 804 strategies; rapid, agile or accelerated acquisition strategies; tailored DoDI 5000.02 strategies; or Other Transaction strategies and subsequent agreements
- DAWIA Contracting Level III or DAWIA Program Management Level III
- Experience as a U.S. Government Contracting Officer
