What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at ASM Global-SMG?
Responsible for the daily activities required to maintain a clean working environment for all staff and visitors. Ensure all areas are safe and sanitized at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize all bathrooms
Sweep, scrub, and mop all floor and bleacher areas.
Vacuum and shampoo all carpet areas.
Clean all glass and window areas.
Clean and dust offices.
Maintain the outside grounds.
Perform tasks as required by your supervisor or manager.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D. or vocational training and at least two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
Possess thorough understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, event-related services for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
Work independently and exercise proper judgment in handling incidents and routine matters.
Excellent organization skills
Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
Other Qualifications
Ability to work as a team member with limited supervision
Requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
