Job Summary :
Briefly describe the major purpose or objective of the job.
Provides exceptional guest service while maintaining a safe and secure environment at the Convention Center and adhering to guidelines set forth by management.
Essential Functions :
GREET GUESTS
- Greet all guests and staff to the Hawaii Convention Center
- Provide customer service as needed
- May provide venue directions etc to guests
VENUE CHECK IN
- Ensure guests and employees comply with venue check in procedures
- Report issues to security supervisor
BASE MONITOR
- Monitor security cameras to search for security related issues that need to be brought to the attention of HCC security staff.
- Assist Security Base Officer answering phones
- Assist Security staff in checking in persons at desk
Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education) :
A minimum education level of :
High School Diploma or its equivalency
- A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to follow departmental and company procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Required to have a professional, positive and friendly demeanor / attitude at all times to ensure the Hawaii Convention Center demonstrates Aloha and delivers exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to defuse situations by being communicative, courteous and empathetic with the ability to communicate clearly specific instructions and explanations.
This includes an ability to listen effectively and understand various people of which there is interaction with. All aforementioned duties may be conducted in various ways including, but not limited to, in person, in writing, on the phone, on the radio and face to face and therefore, one must be able to successfully fulfill this requirement in various ways.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays and additional hours as venue schedule requires.
- Must work harmoniously in a team setting exhibiting the Aloha Spirit to fellow workers, guests, clients and the community so as to provide exceptional customer service while demonstrating behaviors that reflect the Hawaii Convention Centers vision, mission statement
and values.
Hourly rate of pay $19.00
