- Ensures the safety and protection of persons entering the SPCC.
- Observes and identifies possible unauthorized visitors and takes measures to correct situations.
- Enforces facility regulations.
- Responds to medical or incidental emergencies.
- Helps maintain round-the-clock surveillance of the facility.
- Helps maintain records of problem personnel and/or incidents on Company property.
- Secures building and keeps records of after-hours access, etc.
- Uses and monitors multi-channel radio and communication system to relay information and maintains communications center.
- Monitors recording and video surveillance equipment.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Present a positive image and be customer-service oriented.
- Have good communication and telephone skills.
- Accuracy in the performance of assigned duties is essential.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalency Required
- Prior Security experience preferred
Skills and Abilities
- The ability to communicate well with everyone.
Computer Skills
- Minimal skills/some report writing required.
Physical Demands
- The ability to walk and move across the entire Salt Palace Convention Center. The ability to sit and or stand for extended periods of time.
