Premier Food Services at the Del Mar Racetrack is recruiting Servers and Server Assistants, Cooks, Dishwashers and Warehouse Staff for the Breeders Cup Classic, a two-day horse racing event taking place November 5th and 6th 2021.
This is a temporary employment for a special event. Qualified candidates must attend 2 Paid Orientation and training dates in October and be available Friday November 5th and Saturday November 6th from 6am-8pm. Please bring your resume with references and two forms of identification for I-9 verification (Drivers Licenses, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Passport etc...)
Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Wait Staff/Servers for the 2021 Breeders Cup at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack Live Horse Racing season for SMG Premier Food Services, Inc. The Breeders Cup is bringing horses and horse racing enthusiasts from around the world to Del Mar. Premier Food Services at the Del Mar Racetrack is hiring servers for this two-day event. Must be available for Friday, November 5th and Saturday, November 6th.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a timely and welcoming manner and presents them with the menu. Informs guests of specials and menu changes, makes suggestions, and answers questions regarding food, beverages and service.
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests and relays order to kitchen staff and bartender as appropriate.
- Communicates with bus persons, kitchen staff and bartender and coordinates entire station to ensure guest satisfaction with the food and service.
- Proficiency with touch screen POS systems (Aloha, Quest and Tap n 2 experience a plus).
- Exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours standing walking.
- Must have prior restaurant experience and can provide references from current or previous restaurant employers.
- Banquet Service or Fine Dining/Upscale Dining experience preferred.
- Must be available Saturday October 30th, Friday, November 5th and Saturday, November 6th from early morning until early evening.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to carry a large tray on shoulder and climb stairs while carrying a tray

- Must be able to carry a service tray set with eight full plates.
- Position requires standing, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with touch screen POS systems (Aloha, Quest and Tap n 2 experience a plus).
Computer Skills
