What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Specialist II position at ASM?
As a Lab Specialist, you will be challenged to support & execute defined tasking for the project initial design/startup of a new building (s) & equipment design to support our new spares R&D labs & offices in Phoenix and Singapore. These labs are a new requirement and will likely undergo changes during the startup period to adjust to the scientist needs which will challenge your flexibility. After qualification, the role transitions to ongoing facility & equipment engineering upgrades & maintenance , compliance monitoring and improvement projects.
Background desired:
- 5 years experience
- Mechanical/Electrical/Gas System/AirCon certification preferred
- Experience with a combination of facility hardware implementation/commissioning & maintenance for a combination of Wet Chemistry, Process Equipment, Abatement/Support Equipment and general facility care.
- Collaborative contributions on multiple critical projects & multiple 3rd party providers
- Facility & Equipment requirements coordination and some design experience
- Knowledgeable of chemical handling, neutralization and abatement methods/requirements
- Semiconductor experience desired
Scope:
- Office based in Phoenix – not a remote position after the facility is in place
- Initially working with Project Manager & Engineering to refine & implement complex facility & process equipment
- Individual contributor with an ability to listen to multiple internal needs/requirements
- Capability to grow in support of other ASM sites
- Initially supporting 5x12 work capability of the lab with the potential to grow staff and scope for 7x12 operations with global collaboration of extended team.
