Job Description
This postition drives all HR initiatives such as hiring, benefits, employee relations and training programs, to ensure compliance for hotel team members. You’ll also promote a positive team culture while ensuring colleagues deliver incredible guest experience and brings the brand to life. Serves as a coach to the leadership team on all people-related issues.
Budgeted pay range for the position is $92,566 to $120,336. All salaried management positions are eligible for the management incentive plan.
Essential Functions
- Implements human resources programs, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, Affirmative Action and Equal Employment opportunity compliance, and labor relations.
- Implements human resources strategies, policies, and procedures; including coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, oversees the performance review process, and annual merit review.
- Directs human resources organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organization goals.
- Directs human resources operational strategies by analyzing trends; preparing critical measurements; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health strategies; leading system improvements.
- Directs human resources financial strategies by anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
- Completes human resources special projects by identifying and researching human resources issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.
- Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.
- Guides management and employee actions by applying human resources policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
- Improves human resources management job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to human resources and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, General Business or related field required or equivalent additional work experience
- 5 years or more experience in human resources required
- Previous HR leadership experience required
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
- Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
