Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable handyman to join our team near Buttermilk. The ideal candidate will live on-site and be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks around the property. This part-time position offers the flexibility to work approximately 20 hours per week, providing essential services to ensure our residents enjoy a safe and well-maintained living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, light carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and address issues promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, including walkways, laundry rooms, and exterior grounds, to identify and address any maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with building systems, appliances, lighting, and other fixtures as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces.
• Coordinate with property management for larger projects or repairs that require external contractors.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed and report any major issues to management.
• Assist with preparing vacant units for new residents, including minor repairs, painting, and ensuring the unit is in move-in ready condition.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and repair skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents and management.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must live on-site or be willing to relocate to the property.
