Director, IT Business Management

Aspen Aerogels^® is a rapidly growing aerogel technology company founded in 2001 to capitalize on patented advances in aerogel manufacturing. Aspen’s extensive portfolio of proprietary aerogel products are manufactured at scale and sold worldwide in the Electric Vehicle, Energy Infrastructure, Sustainable Building Materials, and Power Generation industries. Aspen Aerogels is growing rapidly and starting few key IT strategic initiatives: Information technology governance and control (ITGC) maturity to support the rapid growth; Data strategy to bring data as a valuable asset and differentiator; Process automation strategy to improve scalability and digitize the business processes; Information security maturity program to improve the cybersecurity capabilities; Core technology improvements strategy to modernize & simplify the workplace and the manufacturing technologies.

IT Business Management Leader is a key position to drive the ITGC maturity and to support all IT strategies implementation.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Create and manage IT Governance and Controls policies and procedures.
• Monitor IT controls operational key metrics and improve the performance.
• Manage IT vendors and licenses for effective IT operations.
• Manage IT budget and expenses. Prepares utilization forecast and assist with preparing budget and business plans.
• Manage IT project and program-Plans, schedules, coordinates and manages business activities and resources required to deliver project solutions.
• Support, Coordinate and manage all IT Audits and remediations.
• Organize and run the IT governance sessions.
• Manage the talents and hiring process for IT.
• Manage business customer relationships.
• Prepare IT strategies progress reports to executives  
    

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.   

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. 
• Professional security management certification
• 12 years' experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT jobs.
• Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• First-rate written and verbal communication skills.
