Job Summary
The Aspire Medical Assistant is a vital part of our clinical staff in our mission to cure patients who suffer from allergy and sinus problems. They will deliver a memorable experience for our patients with each interaction they have, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction are top of mind. They will practice precision everywhere including completing allergy tests, administering injections and entering patient information into our EMR. They will share responsibility with the front desk team, collecting payment and scheduling follow ups as needed. They will exemplify integrity in everything that they do, always doing what is best for our team and our patients.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM & Half-day Fridays!
Roles & Responsibilities
- Willingness to be cross trained in a variety of both front and back office duties to provide full cycle clinic support
- Performs all testing and treatment including in accordance with Aspire Allergy’s protocols and safety measures
- Escorts patient to exam room; obtain vitals, past/present medical history and current medication list
- Must be able to effectively communicate allergy testing and treatment protocols to patients
- Hands-on support with providers for ENT/Exact procedures
- Administers subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections
- Navigates EHR system to record accurate patient health information
- Reach out to insurance providers to obtain CT authorizations
- Schedules follow-up appointments
- Follows all HIPAA rules and regulations including confidentiality or patient information
- Adheres to OSHA requirements including universal precautions and sharps disposal guidelines

Requirements
- 1 Years of Medical Assistant Experience
Skills & Knowledge
- Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to effectively and clearly communicate
- Must be able to administer injections
- Must be able to manually take patient vitals
- Must possess the ability to maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public
- Must possess the ability to react calmly and effectively in a difficult or emergent situation
