ACCOUNTING CLERK
We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk who looks forward to being part of a team that is creating a best-in-class culture. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting the Finance team with day-to-day accounting and administration support. This position will participate in accounts payable and receivable activities, general accounting, and administration.
This role is located on-site in London, Ontario, and will report to the Controller.
SHIFT STRUCTURE
This role will primarily work Monday to Friday, day shift, however, work outside of standard working hours is required as needed, to effectively support the location's 24/7 operation.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER
Promote a Health and Safety, Food Safety and GMP Culture by adhering to company standards at all times.
Responsible for entering A/P (3-way matching) and A/R transactions into the ERP system.
Responsible for cash applications and vendor payments
Verify account codes and approvals for proper assignment of budgetary expenditures.
Assisting with sourcing, supplier set up and purchasing duties.
Monitor customer receivables and follow-up as required with past due invoices
Provide financial information by preparing special reports; completing special projects as required.
Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail; adjusting entries for amortization of prepaids; analyzing and reconciling accounts payable ledgers; inventory reconciliations, accruals and other month end tasks as required.
Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal and provincial financial legal requirements.
Assist with year end audit preparation and audit inquiries.
Assist in maintaining policy and procedure documentation for financial and accounting practices.
Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and accounting activities.
Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic electronic filing system to support accounting and financial records.
Support tracking and reporting requirements for ESG and sustainability requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Minimum Diploma in accounting, finance or related field required.
2 years of experience in accounting/administration roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent understanding of general accounting practices, procedures and principles.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and perform tasks outside of the traditional job description.
Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite, Google and the MS Suite of programs.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
