What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT SCAN TECHNOLOGIST position at Aspirus Health System?

We are seeking a CT TECHNOLOGIST in Plover, WI at Aspirus Plover Hospital/Clinic who performs quality diagnostic CT scans. The CT Technologist will have an above average knowledge of CT equipment. Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Imaging Services standards and procedures as they relate to CT scan procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiography school, an Associate Degree in Radiography, or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements.
- Additional courses with computer skill credits in cross sectional anatomy and/or credits in computer technology beneficial.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging beneficial to enhance and develop skills.
- Previous experience in CT scanning and cross-sectional anatomy beneficial.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, and to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of computerized tomography techniques and methods, and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy in order to obtain quality images.
LICENSURE REQUIRED
- State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license.
- ARRT (CT) registered strongly encouraged within 18 months of hire.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Hours: .8 full-time, 64 hours every 2 weeks. 7 on / 7 off program; 11:30pm-6:30am weekday nights; 7p-7a weekend nights rotational shift
