The technician's main focus will be developing and building electrical cables and harnesses in support of US Army requirements.
Duties Include
- Be capable of standing all day and lifting 45 lbs.
- Expected to assist with vehicle integrations and be familiar with vehicle electronics systems under the guidance of an experienced technician.
- Identify any known changes to the vehicle’s performance as a result of a repair or installation of a new system to the vehicle and report the findings to engineering.
- Produce electrical and electronic components and assemblies in specified system configurations per instructions and drawings.
- Fabricate cables, harnesses, switches, relays, and control devices for purposes of demonstrating the intent of a design or concept.
- Primary Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems: to include the modifications of power sources, supplies, generation and distribution of power throughout the vehicle, to include: wiring harnesses, cables, relays, breakers, batteries, generators, distribution boxes, and addition of power sources for auxiliary systems such as Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and communication systems.
- Secondary Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems: to include integration of controls, switching devices for communication systems, computers, radios, vision systems, monitors keyboards and other Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation systems antennas and power supplies.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified
- IPC J-STD-001 certified
- Familiarity with military harness connector families
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret clearance.
- High School Diploma.
- Two years experience.
