Job Summary: Gulf Coast Industrial is currently seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator. The Vacuum Truck Operator is responsible for proper operation of equipment, driving operational efficiencies at the work site and ensuring accurate documentation related to the job is completed in a timely fashion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote GCI's safety, environmental and operational policies.
• Perform all duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines and jet rotors.
• Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations.
• Completes pre- and post-trip inspections, driver's logs and complies with all other vehicle policy and DOT requirements.
• Ensure that equipment is operating properly by monitoring gauges and hoses.
• Assists with job site set-up of equipment, as well as operating equipment.
• Loading and unloading hoses. Unload vacuum truck at the dump site.
• Provide general maintenance in the field.
• Perform other related duties as assigned as well as hydro blasting.

Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:

• Minimum of two years, verifiable service within the industrial cleaning industry.
• Strong knowledge in the operation of equipment used in hydro blasting and vacuum trucks.
• Experience operating a vacuum truck.
• Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement and an acceptable driving record.
• Complete understanding of Gulf Coast Industrial's safety program & standards.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment is preferred.
• Current TWIC card.
• Must be able to extend arms above head.
• Must be able to climb ladders/ work from scaffolding/ stationary platforms up to heights of 200 feet.
• Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to Nomex coveralls, a back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask and escape pack, and a hard hat.
• Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95 degrees Fahrenheit, 98% humidity and subzero weather conditions) relative to geographic location.
• Must be able to withstand exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust and highly pressurized fluids.
