As our Director of Information Security (CISO), you will have full scope for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) within HID Global. The ISMS will include all processes, audits / monitoring routines required to ensure that HID’s data assets remain secure and protected to the appropriate levels. All aspects of Information Security come under the remit of the Global Information Security Director – this includes working with Infrastructure and Business Applications teams to ensure the appropriate network, hardware solutions, and development controls are in place and adequately monitored. HID has attained ISO27001 accreditation across the organization and you will be instrumental in driving and maintaining this.


This exciting role partners with leadership in a mix of digital products and services affecting the traditional modes of operation. Incident management and coordination require a level head and great communications skills. You will have a small team, while working alongside ASSA ABLOY Group team and other internal Security teams.


As our CISO, Director of Information Security, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Determining enterprise-wide vision for Information Security issues, policies, and standards.
  • Identifying and communicating security protection goals and objectives with suitable measurement KPI’s to support the business security requirements.
  • Auditing and reporting on all aspects of Information security.
  • Defining and monitoring the escalation of the Information Security incident processes.
  • Serving as an internal Information security consultant to the various Business stakeholders to assist / advise / educate on all aspects of Information Security and compliance.
  • Ensuring proper access controls and identity verification are in place.
  • Creating and managing a Qualitative risk register conforming to all appropriate standards.
  • Ensuring effective levels of data asset protection are in place and monitored including data loss / data leakage and Intrusion detection.
  • Initiating, facilitating, and promoting activities to create information security awareness within the organization.
  • Managing and controlling all ISO and SOC2 certifications.
  • Monitoring compliance with the organizations security policies and procedures among employees, contractors, and other third parties and takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Monitoring advancements in Information security Technologies.
  • Monitoring changes in legislation and accreditation standards to ensure HID compliance.
  • Working alongside the ASSA ABLOY Global Information Security Council to ensure alignment.
  • Serving as the IT interface into all business accreditation requirements.

What we will love about your background:

  • Knowledge of international differences in Data Protection laws and compliance.
  • PCI/DSS understanding.
  • CISP -nice to have.
  • Proven record of implementing valid KPI measures.
  • Pragmatic approach to Risk and mitigation.
  • Ability to converse with Technicians, Developers, and Business unit sponsors regarding all things Security in a manner they will be able to associate.
  • Experience in Software testing for Security vulnerabilities.
  • Travel and fieldwork including international travel; therefore, employee must possess or can acquire a valid US Passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Your Experience and Education include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of progressive and related professional experience.
  • Experience in implementation of ISO27001, SOC2, and/or similar standards.
  • Significant wide area networking security knowledge and methodologies around perimeter protection.
  • Proven track record of creating and driving a security aware culture within an organization.
