ASSA ABLOY is adding a Customer Service Manager (Manufacturing) to our Regional Manufacturing Facility located in Easton, PA This role will require the individual to be on-site.
What would you do as our Customer Service Manager (Manufacturing)?
Reporting directly to the Service Center Manager and working closely with the business leadership of sister locations and customers, this individual will lead the front-end activities for the Northeast Service Center.
You would also focus efforts within the following areas:
Customer Service:
- Provide outstanding customer service and communications with customers
- Ensure all team members are maintaining productivity levels while driving productivity goals. Schedule and monitor the progress of work assignments for departmental employees.
- Develop and maintain departmental work procedures.
- Responsible for driving more efficient and accurate order set up for order entry.
- Manage the effective and timely flow of the service center’s front end processing of orders including the timely scheduling and execution through the backlog
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, elevated issues or concerns
- Address technical questions
- Maximize the use of the service center stock welding program
- Direct orders to the proper manufacturing locations based on profitability and customer satisfaction.
Team Management:
- Provide development activities and opportunities to all team members.
- Continually seek new and better ways of doing things, encouraging this behavior within the team Monitor employee performance, giving recognition and/or constructive feedback accordingly.
- Complete performance reviews for direct reports as needed. Communicate daily goals with team and chart team progress. Lead continuous improvement activities.
Quoting and Pricing:
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of customer quotes, ensuring accurate pricing
The Skills and Experience you need:
- HS Diploma/GED or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing others
- Previous work experience with customer management in a manufacturing/production environment would be a plus
- Proficiency in Outlook and Word. Advanced skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.) and exposure to PowerPoint
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated track record of being a self-starter or being resourceful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiating skills
