The HR Director serves as an advocate who ensures that all interactions between the company, i.e. Certified Management, Inc. dba Associa Hawaii and employee are handled and managed in a fair and consistent manner. Other responsibilities may include recruiting, new hire orientation and on-boarding, employee development and training, payroll and compensation and benefit administration. The HR Director will also be responsible for employee relations along with performance improvement. Additionally, the HR Director is responsible for understanding and keeping abreast of compliance and other regulatory concerns, both Federal and State.

Requirements
- Direct HR operations.
- Manage and supervise human resources initiatives, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training andemployee relations of an organization as needed.
- Ensure policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goalsand are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws.
- Develop local HR strategies with input from Regional Vice President of HR and Branch President.
- Provide guidance and support to the local executive team
- Ensure HR needs align with business objectives
- Assist with conflict-management and resolution
- Oversee and manage local employment-related legal issues
- Supervise and provide guidance to the HR Dept. and payroll personnel
- Work closely with local Insurance Broker for health care package each year
- Understand the operational objectives of the organization
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
- A business acumen partnered with attention to the human-element
- Analytical skills to include data analysis and reporting
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
- Proficient on Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Proficient on business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.)
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms at an expert level.
- Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at an expert level.
- Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
- Bachelors Degree Required (may be substitute with related experience)
- Masters Degree Preferred
- 10 years of directly related or closely related experience
- 5 - 7 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience
- Industry Specific Certification
- Travel may be required Typical office environment
- Overtime may be required
- Overtime required (on-call, weekends, 24hr emergency, etc.)
