CDL Truck Driver - Class A

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
If you love the open road and value your time at home, you'll find that working as an Associated Food Stores CDL Driver is the perfect job for you! Not only will you enjoy shorter driving distances as part of your driving schedule, but you'll find most runs are out and back on the same day. CDL Truck Drivers are compensated for not only the miles they drive, but for many other activities involved in the transportation process. Other benefits at AFS include:
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination.
- CDL Truck Drivers may be asked to assist with unloading utilizing a pallet jack.
- Multi-stop shipping to varied retailers where delivery accuracy and excellent customer service is imperative.
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailer.
- Ensure safety through proper inspection and operation of equipment according to company, FMCSA, and DOT regulations and procedures.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Minimum 23 years of age
- One year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience required - Two years preferred
- No history of DUI or other drug or alcohol-related driving convictions
- Doubles/Triples endorsement preferred (willing to train)
- Safely inspect and operate trucks and equipment
- Valid Idaho CDL Class A Driver and medical card
- Professional, reliable, and timely, with working knowledge of delivery routes and highways
- Communicate clearly and effectively, as well as maintain a professional collaboration with all partners
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen
