If you have youth programming experience and a fundamental knowledge of basketball techniques and drills, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as a Little Hooper Basketball Instructor at Ballard Community Center. This is a part-time weekend morning position starting September 2023. 

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is looking for a dynamic Little Hooper Basketball Instructor to share their talents with the community. Ballard Community Center is hiring a Little Hooper Basketball Instructor who is able to teach children ages 6-7 the foundation and fundamentals of basketball. 

We value promoting a fun positive atmosphere. Being a place where people can make friends and build community while learning together. We are looking for an instructor who is knowledgeable in their area of expertise. But also knows that participants leaving with a smile on their face, is the top priority, learning, while important is secondary.

Location: Ballard Community Center is at 6020 28th Ave NW in Seattle

Pay range: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour DOE

Little Hooper Basketball Instructor duties and responsibilities:

  • Over 21 years of age
  • Must have had experience working in a classroom setting with the public.
  • Must be interested in teaching foundations and fundamentals of basketball to 6-7 year old children.
  • Ability to create and lead sports and fundamentals lesson plans

WORK AUTHORIZATION | SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)

Eligibility to work within the United States and background check required.

Willingness to obtain CPR certification
