If you have adult programming experience and a fundamental knowledge of Tai Chi, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as a Tai Chi Instructor at Ballard Community Center. This is a part-time weekday morning position starting September 2023. 

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is looking for a dynamic Tai Chi Instructor to share their talents with the community. Ballard Community Center is hiring a Tai Chi Instructor who is able to teach adults the foundation and fundamentals of Tai Chi instruction. 

We value promoting a fun positive atmosphere. Being a place where people can make friends and build community while learning together. We are looking for an instructor who is knowledgeable in their area of expertise. But also knows that participants leaving with a smile on their face, is the top priority, learning, while important is secondary.

Location: Ballard Community Center is at 6020 28th Ave NW in Seattle

Pay range: $22.00 - $23.50 per hour DOE

Tai Chi Instructor duties and responsibilities:

  • Over 21 years of age
  • Must have had experience working in a classroom setting with the public.
  • Must be interested in teaching adults the foundations and fundamentals of Tai Chi.
  • Ability to create and lead lesson plans

WORK AUTHORIZATION | SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)

Eligibility to work within the United States and background check required.

Willingness to obtain CPR certification
