Now we are looking for a Carrier Sales Broker in our office in Tampa (the USA)!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new carrier relationships and maintain/improve the existing ones;
- Manage and grow a successful and profitable book of carrier relationships;
- Manage any issues that may arise in the normal operation of freight movement;
- Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profits and develop long term solutions;
- Maximize productivity by communicating with account managers and carrier sales leadership to communicate load coverage and postings of loads;
- Procure new carrier relationships by cold calling carriers to understand their needs and communicate information to Client Sales;
- Ensure loads are being properly booked with carriers that will be able to service the client as needed;
- Update and maintain internal TMS with up-to-date information and correct information;
- Analyze truckload markets, truck to load ratios and rates across the United States.
REQUEREMENTS:
- 3PL and Sales experience;
- Understanding of the United States transportation industry;
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills;
- Excellent computer skills;
- Familiar with industry lingo (BOL, POD, ELD, HOS, etc.);
- Ability to work both individually and in a team;
- Ability to balance attention to detail and a quick execution time;
- Strong organizational, and time management skills;
- Ability to perform under pressure, achieve deadlines, and drive results.
