What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Agent Services position at Assurant?
Responsible for the growth and performance of agency partners through planning, organizing, conducting, and managing activities associated with increasing product penetration and business expansion, along with supporting the acquisition of new client business within the assigned Division.
Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Identify Target Market Opportunities: Identify agencies & dealerships within the Division that meet minimum client requirements for enrollment in AAS product relationships
Drive Client (Agent & Dealer) Retention: Focus on enhancing and developing processes to support the ease of doing business with AAS
Generate New Leads: Solicit Target Market agencies & dealerships in a manner that results in a bonafide appointment with agent and or dealer operator/decision maker to present AAS products and services
Support Agent Sales Presentations: Plan, prepare, organize, and conduct sales presentation with target agents and dealers that support the business practices and policies of AAS
Cross Sell New Product Relationships: Present, sell, and launch applicable AAS products not currently offered by existing clients
Lead and Direct Field Activities: Manage processes and initiatives associated with accomplishing the goals of the client and all corporate initiatives
Conduct Meetings: Organize, plan and conduct meetings as required with agents and clients to promote communication and foster a positive business relationship
Oversee State Licensing Requirements: Ensure self, Division agents and client management holds appropriate license in accordance with applicable state law
Maintain Reporting Requirements: Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and communication with regard to all required reporting
Maintain Compliant Business Practices: Ensure ethical and compliant business practices among Division staff and client dealerships
Financial Responsibility:
In concert with input from the President, Senior Vice President, and Financial Team based on the organization’s financial objectives, focus on achieving annual plan for set of Assurant Agent Services
$6-$8 million estimated fee revenue (North Division)
Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
BA or BS Degree
5 years retail automotive experience, F&I, field sales, management, and customer relations
Understanding of Product Participation Programs (Reinsurance)

Computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access required
Must be a team player as well as able to work independently
Must be able to travel to dealerships in assigned region

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
Outside Sales experience with aftermarket products directed to Auto Industry
Automotive Agency Experience
30% Travel
