ASTEC Charter Schools is a growing, 22-year-old public charter school, located in Oklahoma City that serves a highly diverse population. Our brand new elementary opened in fall of 2020 and is currently enjoying a beautiful campus with around 325 preK-5th grade scholars.

Applicants with more years of teaching and higher degrees receive a higher pay.
ASTEC pays its mastery/impact level teachers on average between $3,000 -$11,000 more than the state minimum salaries.

Applicants with experience teaching elementary aged students, as well as those with a willingness to be a positive member of a team, and one that is committed to helping ASTEC build a culture of continuously striving for excellence.
ASTEC values teachers and administrators and have a commitment to their continued growth as professionals through weekly professional development sessions and regular coaching. ASTEC elementary scholars are dismissed at 1:00 pm every Monday to allow teachers and administrators to learn in group and team professional development sessions or Professional Learning Community meetings.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in a closely related field (Proof of transcript will be required)
- Good understanding of technology utilized in today's classrooms (Google Classroom/spreadsheet, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Be able to pass a background check with the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE).
- Must have received your COVID-19 vaccination prior to starting.
- Early Childhood education experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Hold an active Oklahoma Teacher Certification with am elementary education endorsement or related subject;
- Prior experience as a teacher, tutor, or school employee;
- An advanced degree or other relative real-world experience in related field.
