What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foundation Lead position at Astera Health?
The Foundation Lead plays an integral role in supporting the growth of the organization and our mission in building philanthropic resources for the improvement of healthcare for our communities. The Foundation Lead will prepare, plan, and implement a comprehensive and innovative community outreach strategy that will significantly expand awareness of and philanthropic support for the Astera Health Foundation. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading, supporting, and assisting the organization in all its fundraising activities and marketing events.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with the ability to work early/late days and weekends as needed for success in the position. Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and manage goals, budget, written plans, and timelines for all Astera Health marketing and foundation events.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders for logistical details, staging, preparation, sponsorships, invitations, volunteers, tracking and follow-up etc.
- Meet or exceed annual goals for the Foundation, including but not limited to Cost to Raise a Dollar, ROI, fundraising goals, and engaged donor percentages.
- Identify opportunities for growth and philanthropy, including grants to expand access to care for Astera Health.
- Coordinating social media for hospital events and Foundation efforts, including some design.
- Coordinate volunteer program to manage, train, track and recruit volunteers. Provide any guidance and support to volunteers, ensuring they understand their roles and feel valued within the hospital community, including planning recognition events.
- Coordinating the activities of subcontractors (caterers, IT, speakers, etc.), negotiating with service providers and potential entertainment for events.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop content and collateral to engage existing and potential donors. Work with the marketing team to ensure the timely availability of event supplies and services which may include – printing of invitations, press releases, promotional items, marketing of the event, audio visual equipment, etc.
- Coordinate grant and scholarship applications by writing and reporting, creating review packets, award/denial letters, following up with winners, and press release coordination.

- Ability to effectively operate standard office equipment and software, including database management

- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships
Education and Experience Required:
- Associates degree in business or related field
- 2 years experience in event planning and fundraising
