PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
A MILL CNC Operator produces parts by programming, setting up, and operating multiple CNC machines while maintaining product quality, safety standards, record keeping, machine maintenance and supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for production and operation of multiple CNC machines in team-based environment
- Responsible for general/daily maintenance on machines to keep up with production
- Responsible for ensuring quality of parts through regular inspection during production
- Follow all safety guidelines
- Read and understand blueprints and basic geometric dimension tolerancing (Training provided)
- Inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.), as well as programmed CMM equipment (Training Provided)
- Make offsets & change tooling per provided layout (Training Provided)
- Communicate with fellow team members, and management, of job status and party quality.
- Complete setups of previously-proven parts
- Train and mentor Level I and Level II Operators
- Basic Knowledge of CNC Programming
- Add/modify tool paths at machine controller
- Troubleshoot currently running jobs and previously-proven jobs
- Generate and implement ideas for Continuous Improvement
- ALL MACHINES HAVE FANUC CONTROLS – Awea BM-1020Y and Yama Seiki AV760
- Hiring for 1St Shift primarily

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS
· Requires visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect precision machined parts closely
· Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
· Physical ability to work requiring continuous standing, bending, twisting and stooping the entire shift.
· Physical strength to lift and carry up to 50lbs. frequently throughout the day.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
