What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Aston Carter?
Aston Carter is working with a client in the Aurora, OH area who is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team!
Description:
• Post daily cash receipts accurately to customer accounts adhering to the account close and reporting schedules. Follow up on unapplied transactions on a timely basis.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate billing of customer accounts which includes invoicing, preparation of credit memos and other miscellaneous transactions.
• Print daily customer invoices, scan for reasonableness and work with office administration to make sure mailing is timely. Update the accounting system by posting each batch.
• Process miscellaneous manual and retail related billings in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Bill all shipments from warehouse the same day the shipment is made. Reconcile shipped and not billed transactions.
• Review the reports and logs daily to identify issues; coordinate resolution and re-bill requirements.
• Monitor and track billing transactions to ensure accurate processing of retail electronic billing and verify all files are received properly by retailer’s A/P department.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of accounts receivable experience
- Experience applying cash
- Any experience billing customers is helpful
- ERP system experience and good Excel experience is also a plus
