Description:
The Support Team Tech, working at the direction of the Support Team Leader, is responsible for entering data on P&C and WC Claims, as well as other routine
administrative functions.
> Provides a high level of client service to both external clients as well as interfacing
with other departments and staff.
> Creates claim files, entering P&C and WC data in a claims system, both timely and accurately.
> Creates and submits reports and any required forms to the VWCC.
> Assists adjusters on WC and P&C claims including larger value cases in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
> Inputs and maintains Member policy documents in RiskMaster as requested.
> Inputs and monitors third-party administrative claim assistance.
> Reviews and approves medical bills in accordance with established procedures.
> Pays all approved and/or re-priced medical bills within specified time periods and assists with posting and requesting any necessary refunds.
> Collects information and prepares reports as requested.
> Processes electronic documents, incorporating content into file notes to ensure complete and accurate files and data.
> Keeps the Support Team Leader informed of all activity outside pre-set guidelines.
> Works collectively with all staff to promote a positive work environment.
> Conducts all business in accordance with Company and department policies and
procedures.
> Follows best practices, ensuring compliance with Company standards and policies, strictly adhering to industry, state and federal regulations.
> Meets all department performance-standards as set.
