Bookkeeper I Fredrick, MD
Description:
- AR - Recording checks, and ACH deposits for customer payments
- AP - Enter payables into Quickbooks, pay bills via check or credit cards
- Payroll - In-house for employees and related Tax payments (done weekly)
- Subcontractor Payroll - Done weekly, entered into Quickbooks, and checks processed
- Payroll Taxes - weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Certified Payrolls - Weekly, sent to General Contractors or put into GC's choice of software
- Year-end W2s and 1099's
- Monthly billings and related waivers, lien releases
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliations are done monthly
- Sales & Use tax is done monthly
- Maintain business and auto licenses and renewals
- Yearly updates of customers COI's (Certificate of Insurance) and submitting for new COIs
- Workers compensation audits
- Prequalifications for General Contractors as needed
- WIP (Work in Progress) update and upkeep
- Year-end journal entries, reconciliation to outside accounts for year-end financial statement requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- College Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3-5 years of same or similar experience
- Proficient with Quickbooks
- Construction Billing is a huge plus
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be reliable
- Able to prioritize and follow through
- Quick to respond to General Contractors and Vendors
- Articulate and Respectful in communications whether by phone, email or in person
- Notary highly preferred (Mike the Owner will also pay for this person to become a notary)
