Day to day responsibilities:
Responsible for purchasing electro-mechanical components used to manufacture analytical instrumentation.
Obtains quotations, negotiates prices, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities
Executes replenishment purchase orders and manages changes based on MRP
Maintains open line of communication with suppliers to ensure on time delivery
Expedites and/or reschedules deliveries as needed based on changes in the demand plan or requirements of internal customers.
Participates in weekly production meeting and semiannual forecast planning meeting with product line managers
Resolves any receiving and or invoicing discrepancies on purchase orders issued
Necessary Skills and Strengths:
Buying | Microsoft Suite | Vendor Communication | SAP / ERP
Core Experience:
3 years experience in a Buying role
Experience in manufacturing and electronic buying is a plus
Strong knowledge of SAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong communication and organization skills
Ability to problem solve and meet deadlines
8-5:30 Monday - Friday *Hybrid*
2 week in office training - one day in office / 4 days remote
6 month contract to hire *Company wants to retain a permanent employee*
