What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Aston Carter?
Our client in Walkersville MD is immediately hiring for a Buyer to join their team. This is a full time permanent role and pay will vary based on years of experience. Qualified candidates will have an interview scheduled within 48 hours of resume submission.
Job Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant buying experience required
- HS Diploma/GED required
- ERP experience required, SAP is preferred
- Biotech or similar industry required (pharma, medical devices, life sciences)
Job Description
- Monitors & tracks supplier performance and feedback
- Supports implementation of supplier changes
- Collaborates with procurement team to ensure all relevant material & vendor master data and outline agreements are updated in SAP
- Manage Level 2 vendor escalations, including Delivery and Shipping related issues
- Manages vendor performance, driving improvements on time delivery, quality conformance, and other compliance issues
- Manages and resolves vendor returns (RMA, cost recovery, replacements)
- Supports cross-functional stakeholders to onboard and approve new raw materials and suppliers
- Manage competitive bid process and execute RFx market interventions
- Negotiating low value contracts with suppliers
- Manages AP inquiries (Invoice issues, etc.)

Salary : $68,000 - $85,000
